Key Relationships

PSA Security Network (PSA) is the world's largest electronic security cooperative representing security system integrators.  By combining purchasing power, resources of large vendor groups with the strengths and personal attention to detail of locally owned companies, PSA system integrators improve security performance through their access to the latest electronic security products, education, certifications, best practices and other resources to develop cost-effective security solutions.  This organization encompasses more than 200 electronic security systems integrators, aligning them with over 200 vendor partners.

National Security Integrators (NSI) is a closely knit group of privately held electronic security integrators located throughout the United States.  The impetus behind the creation of NSI was the need to provide high-quality consistent security services for companies with regional offices throughout the United States.  While larger security firms may be bigger, NSI members provide the one key ingredient to any service relationship that makes a difference, personal services.  Everyone knows that smaller entrepreneurial firms provide better customer service because it's the owner's reputation on the line.  With NSI, not only do you receive that incredibly high level of customer service, but you receive it on a national basis.

Smart Card Alliance Logo

SCI holds certification in the Smart Card Alliance - Certified System ICAM PACS (CSEIP) Engineering.

The Smart Card Alliance Certified System Engineer ICAM PACS (CSEIP) training and certification program provides advanced training for systems engineers on how to set-up and test E-PACS to align with government-wide specifications.  This GSA-approved training program provides the training and certification required for E-PACS engineers employed by commercial organizations providing access control systems procured by GSA.  To ensure that procurements of approved E-PACS for GSA managed facilities are installed properly, GSA requires that all billable work performed on such systems be done using certified system engineers.  This comprehensive program provides systems engineers with the necessary training to demonstrate their ability to efficiently and effectively implement PKI and federal ICAM architectures for E-PACS and meet all federal requirements.

SCI is proud to announce affiliation with the audited program certification and membership in the ISNetworld Consortium.

ISN is the global leader in contractor and supplier management.  ISN takes pride in leading efforts to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of contractor management systems and in serving as a forum for sharing industry best practices among members. ISN's Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality Review and Verification Services facilitates the collection of relevant documents for contractor qualifications in workplace and environmental safety compliance.

SCI, Inc. FAQ’s (Frequently Asked Questions)

What kinds of Customers does SCI, Inc. do business with?

  • We specialize in serving the security needs of Commercial, Governmental, Educational, Utility, Research, Industrial, and Corporate accounts.

I have some ideas and security needs at my facilities, but don't know how to get started. How can you help?

  • We begin by meeting with you to discuss your ideas and needs, and we provide you with a project detail plan.  This documentation may go through several revisions before being finalized and this process develops the ideas into an agreed upon design.  Once development is complete, we provide you with a written proposal detailing the scope of work and associated costs.

If we decide to accept your proposal, how do we know that we are getting the best possible value for our money?

  • Our value lies in our ability to plan, design, and then deliver in one operation, and our project deployment methods are proven to be efficient.

If I already hired an Architect/Engineer (A/E) and have a set of plans, would SCI, Inc. still give me a proposal?

  • Yes. You can use your current plans while maximizing the cost-savings and convenience of SCI proven processes.

How do you assure us that you can deliver our project on-schedule, on-budget, and also meet the high quality expectations of our organization?

  • In order to meet these expectations, our review and planning processes ensure that schedule, budget and quality control are not compromised.

I've used Contractors in the past that were disruptive to the operations of my facilities. How do you deal with this?

  • We not only address new construction, we also specialize in existing facilities retrofits and tenant improvements.  That means that we are experienced in working in and around occupied facilities.  Our staff is experienced in protecting your facility, your employees and the public during deployment to minimize disruptions and keep work areas clean and dust-free.

Who will be in charge of my project and who do I contact if there is a problem?

  • Each Client is assigned an Account Representative who serves as a main point of contact, overseeing design development and cost estimating and each project is assigned a Project Manager who oversees installation.

What if I don't know anything about security projects?

  • We have worked with “project novices” and experienced clientele in regards to design and installation.  Because of this, we are able to serve as both advisor and detail-oriented contractor.

My facilities are a long way from your company headquarters, how can you supervise my project from a distance?

  • SCI has provided remote project management for many customers over the last thirty plus years, and we will assemble the right team for the right location.

It all sounds pretty good, but I would like to verify that you actually do what you say, and that you have the necessary experienced staff, financial means, and insurance/bonding necessary to complete my work. Can I get references?

  • Yes. We will gladly provide you with Customer and Manufacturer references and information to make your decision.
